Arbor Ace Brings Cat Home for the Holidays

Just before Christmas 2013, Arbor Ace Tree Service received a call about a lost house cat in Pequannock. The owners and neighbors searched for him for two days without success. Finally on Sunday, December 22nd, the cat was located in the woods at the top of a dead tree, 40 feet above the river.

No amount of coaching would bring him down off his perilous perch. The local Police and Fire departments informed the owners that they could do nothing. An online search led the owners to Arbor Ace Tree Service. We drove out to Pequannock that Sunday afternoon to see if we could help.

We were able to rescue the cat by climbing a nearby tree. We carefully approached the cat, lifted him off his perch, placed him in a pet crate. He lowered the crate and climbed back down to safety.
