The Importance of Trees

Have you ever wondered why trees are important? There are many reasons and here are some to think about:

Trees actually play a major role in our lives. Trees take in the carbon dioxide we breathe out and turn it into oxygen. Trees also give us up to 28% of earth’s oxygen. In addition, trees purify the air.

Many animals make nests in trees and use trees as a safe place to hide from predators. Many animals, squirrels, and birds depend on trees.

Trees provide us with healthy fruits and nuts, such as apples, lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, pears, almonds and more. Not only do trees help us with eating healthy, they also provide us with fun and shade to relax in. Look outside and you may see someone enjoying a tree. Whether it’s foot locking, free climbing, or simply reading a book in the shade, they are probably getting enjoyment out of their experience.

Trees and nature provide us with an escape from the hustle and bustle of today’s city life. Shade does more than just cool us off, it regulates the temperature of soil which allows plants to grow correctly.

As you can see, humans and animals need trees to survive for a variety of reasons.
