In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, I was often asked to give estimates for total tree removal. Most of the time I would recommend to leave the tree in place and simply trim to maintain the integrity of the tree and ensure safety for the customer and their property.
Part of the process also involves a total tree inspection; including the removal of rubbing and crossed branches, large deadwood and/or storm damaged tops and broken branches in the canopy.
Removing every tree to completely eliminate the potential of property loss or damage to power lines, would leave us in a concrete jungle. As long as trees are inspected, remain structurally sound and have no safety threats, they should be left intact.
Trees add incredible value to our landscape health and community.
