Too much water can limit and even cut off the provided oxygen that the roots need to function correctly. Did you know a tree can drown?! Drenched soil suffocates the tree by flooding a tree’s air pockets. This kills the roots and once the roots die the rest of the tree will too. Overwatering can even cause root rot and fungus! Since the tree is overwatered its fragile leaves break easily and the area around the tree is always wet. As you may see, overwatering a tree is harmful.

The best time to water trees is in the morning and don’t water tree’s leaves because the water will act as a magnifying glass and the sun will burn holes through the leaves. As you can see, it is best for a tree to be watered correctly. There are many different ways you can water a tree- You can simply use your hand in a hose to water a tree, but if you are struggling with time you can use irrigation or an overhead sprinkler. Soaker hoses are also a really good way to water your tree. All in all, there are many different ways to water your tree. As you can see, watering trees the correct way is important.
